 | The BMW S 1000 RR has been awarded the 2010 Sportsbike of the Year title by the United Kingdom’s Fast Bikes magazine. BMW Motorrad’s new sportsbike beat all the competition in order to win this prestigious award.
In addition to being Fast Bikes’ 2010 Sportsbike of the Year, the S 1000 RR also came out top in Spanish magazine Motociclismo’s very prestigious ‘Masterbike’ challenge. ‘Masterbike’ is the world’s largest group test and involves 20 of the world’s best sportsbikes being judged by 16 motorcycle publications from the around the globe, including the UK’s Motorcycle News. Furthermore, the RR was voted ‘Motorcycle of the Year 2010’ in the readers’ vote of German motorcycle magazine Motorrad last March.
